Questions to think about?
Why do astronauts train in a pool?
Why do astronauts wear their space suit in the pool?  Is this the same suit they would wear in space?
Why do they have to be lowered into the pool on a platform?
Who works at the NBL besides the astronauts?
PictureRandy and his family.
Randy “Komrade” Bresnik, NASA Astronaut, talks about his time aboard the shuttle and what it was like to have his daughter be born during that mission. Bresnik also describes the different types of training that astronauts have to endure to be successful in space, including having to live in an underwater habitat.
